This beautiful necklace is jam-packed with genuine vintage and antique charms, mementos and curios.
Called Altered Art amalgamation, this necklace was created in collaboration with Rockin Relics Pomona. The majority of the pieces were acquired from Rockin Relics and then created by TFD Jewellery. The Mona Lisa cameo centerpiece is Vintage c1950 as are the religious charms and hat pin, which was converted to a charm with Swarovski crystal beads and pyrite beads all suspended on a 40cm gold tone fob chain.
Cameo is the art of carving a layered material, creating a portrait or landscape with the difference in colors. While traditionally done in shell, banded onyx has been used in cameo work - particularly in Greece and Italy - for hundreds, if not thousands, of years.
