This gorgeous Edwardian 9ct Yellow Gold Bar Brooch with chain is set with a stunning Australian Black Opal.
The cabochon opal displays beautiful blues, purples, and greens as well as flashes of orange and red. The stone measures 18mm x 12mm with a gold bezel 4mm high; the brooch has a "C" style clasp; Total Item Weight: 5.82g Markings: Stamped 9ct; the brooch length is 55mm and the width is 20mm, with a 50mm safety chain.
The opal does have more of a grey colour rather than a black colour but is still very much classed as a black opal. This brooch is handmade and the opals have been cut by hand.
