The word ammonite is derived from Ammon, an Egyptian god who took the form of a ram. Ammonites are similar in appearance to a ram's horn.
The spiral shape of these fossilized creatures symbolizes continual change and evolution. The Ammonite draws off all negative energies. Think of the Ammonite spirals as a filter, drawing in these dense energies which are no longer needed, moving them through the spirals, and releasing them as fresh, positive, loving life force energies.
The Ammonite is a very powerful earth-healing fossil. Ammonites have absorbed cosmic energy over eons of time and help to stimulate the life force (Chi) within.
Sleeping Beauty Turquoise is revered and highly sought after due to its pure sky blue color which shows very little to no veining or webbing.
When you wear natural turquoise you feel stabilized and strengthened, able to live and speak from your authentic heart center of power and form. The Hopi, Lakota, and Navajo all view turquoise as a talisman of wealth and prosperity. And in Native American tribes, it is carried during vision questing to strengthen the body, mind, and spirit during spiritual exploration.

Turquoise can unite the male energies of the skies with the female energies of the Earth to promote healing for our spirit. It reminds us that all of our past experiences are valid and that only by embracing them and accepting them can we become spiritually whole. Turquoise allows us to better communicate with the higher planes of existence, can enhance our psychic powers, and can also provide us with strength during astral travel.
History:
Sleeping Beauty stones are some of the most desirable gemstones produced in the world. Sleeping Beauty stones are unique in color and quality anywhere from chalky-blue "robin's egg" blue to sky-blue to deep-blue Turquoise. The dark the rarer the stones are. However, with Sleeping Beauty Turquoise, deep blue is not really the desireable color. As far as Sleeping Beauty goes, jewelers and gemologist are looking for the "perfect" Turquoise, for that sky blue color, not too light, not to dark, with no matrix, which mimics that old Persian Turquoise look, these are the most valuable Sleeping Beauty Turquoise stones.
The Sleeping Beauty turquoise mine was named after the mountain range where it is located, which from a distance is said to resemble a sleeping woman with her arms crossed. Increased government regulations and mining costs led to the mine's closure in 2012.
