Their silverware was widely sold throughout Australia and was also exported internationally.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eThe original purple and silver Ranleigh A1 Quality Silverware label remains attached to the underside of the tray.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eA1 Quality\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eThe A1 designation is an important feature of this piece. A1 was traditionally used on silver plated wares to indicate a higher quality grade of electroplating. The tray is not solid sterling silver, but silver plate over a base metal.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eThe elaborate decoration is particularly beautiful, with flowers, leaves, scrolls and classical ornamental details creating an almost tapestry like surface.
