I love creating jewellery that makes your heart skip when it sees you & you see it. My other passions are crystals & opals, gifts from our amazing earth. I have a never-ending collection that has now merged into my online shop & market stalls.
Then there is that gorgeous curio piece, Vintage & Estate Jewellery, that unique one-of-a-kind find, that unique piece you’ve always wished for in your collection. These are three very different yet complimenting aspects of jewellery, some handmade with faceted gems, others from raw materials & mixed metals & then there is the lapidary side of my passion as well.
I have always had a passion for Jewellery, especially one-of-a-kind pieces and unique designs. I sometimes think it is genetic, LOL, as my mother loved her jewellery, and we would often spend hours looking through her collection and discussing the stones and metals used.
Though I have been a Secondary school teacher for 30+ years, my passion for jewellery never waned. Moving to the Sunshine Coast in 2019 provided me with the opportunity to explore my love for jewellery further. I completed a silversmith course, spinner ring workshop and dabbled in lapidary work at Buderim Lapidary Club and have set up my studio to develop my passions further. I’ve completed several sand casting courses with Kirra-lea who is an amazing mentor and artist and completed a skilled silversmith course with Nick Murray Silversmth. These have all helped me hone my skills further and reinforced the knowledge I’ve learnt over the past 6 years.
