This is a nice chunky unique style pendant handcrafted with a beautiful golden Obsidian carved into a Dragon. Set in a rustic look with oxidised sterling silver, copper, and brass fire bezel, and set on a hand-forged sterling silver back plate. Complimented with a heart-shaped faceted reddish purple rhodonite garnet.

Dragon dimensions 40mm x 40mm x 8mm, 86.25ct pendant has a drop of 80mm from the bale; weighs 54.30g; includes a solid sterling silver belcher link chain.

Simlarly, Nostradamus, French Astrologer and Physician, is reputed to have used a Black Obsidian sphere for scrying. It is an opaque volcanic glass that can be black, brown grey or green. The translucent variety from Arizona is referred to as Apache Tears. Obsidian has been used since Paleolithic times for making tools and weapons as it holds a sharp edge.
