Vintage silver plate ornate BERRY serving spoon made in the repousse method with kings patterned handle and guilded bowls.
These spoons were originally guilded to protect the silver from the acid in the fruit.
This elegant serving spoon has a very beautiful raised design on the base incorporating a collection of pears, grapes peaches flowers and foliage. The neck of the spoon is designed with the classical ‘Kings Pattern’ design which leads up to an ornately patterned handled.
This is a very lovely spoon and would make an ideal gift for someone who has an appreciation for vintage kitchen items.
