Custom Copper Pendant Restoration and Bail Redesign

This custom restoration was completed to permanently solve a recurring problem with a pendant whose original copper bail repeatedly broke away from the resin artwork.

Work completed:

• Removal of the damaged bail

• Design and fabrication of a new copper back plate to provide structural support

• Installation of a specialist decorative copper bezel to securely house the pendant

• Addition of a new heavy-duty copper hanging bail

• Soldering, assembly and finishing

• Final clean and polish

Rather than simply replacing the broken bail, this restoration completely redesigned the way the pendant is supported, creating a much stronger and more durable piece while enhancing its overall appearance.
