A striking one of a kind statement pendant, handcrafted in solid sterling silver and copper.
At its centre is a magnificent 52.60 carat Orange Dahlia composite heart cabochon featuring vivid turquoise blue, pink, orange and earthy copper tones. The stone is framed in a decorative copper bezel and surrounded by a second sterling silver setting, creating beautiful warmth and contrast.
A 0.70 carat Mexican Fire Opal is set above the heart in its own decorative copper bezel. Known to the Aztecs as the Hummingbird Stone, fire opal has long been associated with passion, creativity, confidence and vitality.
The sterling silver backplate has been individually textured by hand and finished with a heart shaped cutout, revealing a colourful section of the stone from behind. My maker’s marks are stamped on the reverse.
Bold, colourful and completely unique, this is a true wearable artwork handcrafted in my Pomona studio on the Sunshine Coast.
