THE STONE
Natural solid Queensland Boulder Opal, 18.45 carats. This is a true solid opal, not a doublet or triplet. The colour lives within the stone itself, formed over millions of years in the ancient ironstone seams of outback Queensland, Australia. The warm chocolate ironstone matrix is traced with rivers of aqua and white, making the rolling colour play even more dramatic by contrast. Green and red are among the rarest and most coveted colours in boulder opal. This stone displays both.

THE SETTING
The opal is set into a handcrafted ornate bezel with 14K yellow gold filled top and intricate geometric and floral filigree detailing throughout the band. The back plate and band are solid 925 sterling silver. The setting has been designed to complement the natural warmth of the stone without overpowering it.
