Vintage 900 Silver Spoon Handle Ring with Russian Demantoid Garnet Sold

This one of a kind ring was handcrafted from the handle of a vintage 900 silver teaspoon, giving new life to a beautiful piece of antique silverware.

The original spoon handle was carefully processed in my studio before being textured through the rolling mill, creating the unique botanical pattern that wraps around the band. Set at the centre is a 0.65 ct natural Russian Demantoid Garnet, secured in a handcrafted sterling silver bezel.

Demantoid Garnet is one of the rarest and most desirable members of the garnet family, celebrated for its exceptional brilliance and vibrant green colour. This gemstone was purchased at auction approximately five years ago as part of a small parcel of three matching Russian stones. While it is not accompanied by a gemological report, it was acquired as a natural Russian Demantoid and has remained in my personal collection until being transformed into this ring.

Every stage of this piece was completed by hand in my Noosa Hinterland studio, making it a truly one of a kind creation.
